I'm the Freudian Cinephile - a pop psychoanalyst exploring film, philosophy, and the strange contours of modern life. This Substack is now home to my written archive and fresh essays drawn from podcast episodes originally released on Patreon, plus new musings as they come. Expect psychoanalytic film reviews, villain profiles, auteur studies, “Concept Focus” pieces, interviews with filmmakers and psychoanalysts, and the occasional personal dispatch when the spirit moves me. This is ASMR for intellectual guttersnipes—misfits, rogues, and outsiders with good taste.
